In 2015, founded the Newton County "National Action Network (NAN)" Chapter and served as chapter President for 10 years.
Founder of the watchdog group "Concerned Citizens"
Advocated with Newton County Commissioner J.C. Henderson to preserve African-American heritage history in Newton County and create a museum for African-American history. In 2019, he started a museum in the former T.K. Adams Community Band Room, 8150 Carlton Trail, Covington GA 30014.
